Dr Garrett E Eriksen
Dr Garrett E. Eriksen is a historian and conservationist who grew up on the Cango Wildlife Ranch, immersed in wildlife from an early age. After earning an MSc in African Studies at Edinburgh University and a PhD in History from Stellenbosch University—he returned to his first passions: conservation and storytelling. Now, as the media producer and podcast host at the Cango Wildlife Ranch, he blends his expertise in research, filmmaking, and science communication to engage global audiences. Having travelled to over 55 countries across six continents, he brings a broad perspective to wildlife conservation. Through The Conservation Station podcast, he shares his passion for the natural world, exploring the challenges and triumphs of modern conservation and inspiring listeners to appreciate and protect our planet’s diverse ecosystems.
