Kerri Wolter

Kerri Wolter is the founder and director of VulPro, South Africa’s leading vulture conservation organisation. With over 21 years of experience in vulture research, rehabilitation, and advocacy, she has dedicated her life to protecting these critically endangered birds.


Under Kerri’s leadership, VulPro has become a global authority in vulture conservation, tackling threats like poisoning, habitat destruction, and power line collisions. She is a passionate advocate for education and public awareness, working to change the negative perceptions surrounding vultures and highlight their essential role in ecosystems.


Kerri’s groundbreaking work has earned her international recognition, including a nomination for the 2025 Indianapolis Prize, often called the Nobel Prize of Conservation.
